An excellent way to quickly create a Web site using pre-designed website Joomla Templates. You can easily find free or paid templates on many web sites on the web.

Free Templates

If you are really determined to get out of the models, a better way to do this is to use those who come for free software with all that you use. Joomla or Word Press, for example, is very clean, attractive models. But you do, though, you must understand that freedom will never be unique templates: your site will be just like hundreds of other Web sites there are the same model as you did it for free.

Cheap Templates

Once you begin to enter the territory paid for the models, things began to investigate. The idea behind the sites that sell models is that they can pay the designers of interest rates, do something good once, and then resell it as many times as they wish for a relatively low price. This option allows designers to be paid for the greatest number of models they want, without ever having to deal with customers, and it allows customers to buy and use models for a price substantially below what they were used to pay for something much more serious-T And they can see in advance.

Exclusive Templates

After seeing how some people dislike the other sites being able to use their design, but many sites began selling exclusive models of those sold only once, to a site, then removed. They met a runaway hit on their hands.

In this way, designers are free to create something great, and customers can consider whether they like it or look at hundreds of other solutions if they do not. It takes all the uncertainty and negotiation at both ends, and both the designer and the client leaves much happier than they would have been. Of course, if there is something that you want changed little, most of the sites are happy to get the designer to do it for you for a small fee.

Joomla – Why Use It?

Why use complex software, rather than putting up a few pages?

When the Internet began, all sites are simple HTML pages in very simple. They existed as a page or several pages of a site. The browser went to these sites, the browser introduced these files for you and you just read or looked at the content and it was about everything that happened.

In recent years, the open source community has made several software systems available that greatly empower websites. It adds more features, she adds security, and there can be many things that previously required a lot of experience and expertise to establish a Web site that could do what no Joomla.

CMS. Officially Joomla is called a content management system or CMS. That title means he knows how to manipulate the content of your site, where the content is a reference in an article you write, or that you display photos on pages or movies or audio clips that you play. How all this content is presented to the viewer is controlled by software that we call Joomla.

There is other CMS system that exists. Several of them are free and there is a lot of commercial systems. But Joomla is one of the well-known open source packages that is free to be used by anyone.

Joomla Versus the old method. The reason Joomla is valuable for the construction of a web site by hand, one page at a time is that Joomla organizes everything, and provides functionality that has been de-bugged, tested and used by hundreds others – so that, with little effort, you can install a complex site.

Once it is installed, administrative capacity integrated into Joomla allow you to maintain this Web site easily.

What is the maintenance? A healthier must constantly add content to this site. Joomla provides tools to add content and functionality of the site. It also provides functions you need for a website for general use. It comes with pages of contact for sending e-mails from visitors, without spammers hijacking function. It allows you to add advertisements in your Web pages easily. It allows you to edit files, change models and to modify and customize the appearance of the site.

How do I know Joomla? Joomla is a complex tool. How do you learn to use it? First, the community Joomla is very large. This means that there are many tutorials and forums assets that are excellent sources of information. For example, Joomla Tutorials you will find step-by-step procedures for installation, modification and maintenance of a site Joomla.

More useful functions. There are other benefits to a facility Joomla. There is a strong community of developers who provides modules, plug-ins and add-ons. They are easily installed in Joomla and give you items such as forums, services, community-based, email lists, and other tools. You can customize your site – for free – well beyond what you could do, even with a limited budget. There are hundreds of modules which allow additional functionality. Most of them are free, but there are also many commercial modules.

So if you want an easy, fast, high-performance computing to build your site, do not need to go any where else use Joomla Tutorials and make your website.

If you are on WordPress, then you know that is one of the best personal publishing platforms around, and that it adheres to high standards of usability and aesthetics. It?s free, and there are benefits like its user-friendly features, its easy-to-build themes and easy customization, its simple setup, and the fact that it uses standard and free web server technologies. With WordPress, it?s always easy to make changes to your site, and even the themes and plugins are usually free! Now WordPress customization is very important ? you do want your blog looking good, right? For instance, there are the General options, under the Options box. Another form of WordPress customization is your Permalinks, we recommend you change it to Custom from Default, this increases your Google rank site, and gives you better search engine optimization. Your themes can be chosen under ?Presentation > Theme?, and this is perhaps the best part of WordPress customization.

There are hundreds and hundreds of themes out there, and you can even download more. So during WordPress customization, how do you install a new theme? Firstly, download its zip file, unzip into your /wp-content/themes/directory, and then you shall be able to see it in the Presentation menu. That?s basically all there is to it, so if you play around with the themes, you can give each page a different look. Each WordPress template is a separate PHP file inside the theme?s directory, and some of the standard WordPress templates are 404 template = 404.php, Archive Template = archive.php, Comments Template = comments.php, Footer Template = footer.php, Archive Index page = archives.php, among others. When it comes to WordPress themes, you can either stick to the Default theme, or tweak it a bit to make a new one ? to make your blog look more personalized. It is actually quite easy to make your new theme, you start by copying your existing theme to a new directory in your themes directory, then edit the style.css file. After that, you have to edit the theme information, go to the WordPress administrator and modify your current theme to the new one you have created. After that, it?s all about customizing and feeling proud of your new effects!

WordPress customization & templates are simply all over the place. You can try the column themes, adult themes, fashion themes, computer themes, business themes, car themes, games themes, movies theme, pets and nature themes, dating themes, design themes, health and medicine themes, music themes, personal themes, among others. If it?s something to do with a wedding, then there is the Wedding Rose free WordPress template, which is absolutely lovely. The widgets are ready, and it?s based in red and grey colors. There is also Royale Blue, Lily Interior, Diary Key, and even a Windows Media Player theme! Yes, you must have realized by now that there are many WordPress templates out there, you just have to run a search, pick the one you like best, and then upload it accordingly.

Joomla is a very popular open-source software program. It is General Public Licence, or GPL, meaning that it is openly distributed and can be downloaded without cost and used pretty much in any way you choose. Free templates for Joomla are available, as well as a selection of modular extensions, which all combine to make this a very flexible choice.

The Joomla software comprises a content management system that is highly strong and perfectly fitted for giant web sites. It can just as simply be used to create a straightforward one page internet site, though that may be a bit like using a sledge hammer to break a nut.

Come visit us right here for more Joomla Template Info and get Three Free Joomla Template Ebooks Joomla Shack. http://www.joomlatemplatezone.com/

The basic software should be considered as the basic building blocks of your internet site. Members of an organisation can be given access rights relying on which tasks they need to perform.

What makes any actual website different from all of the others is primarily the template. This provides the appear and feel of the whole site and as such it is an extremely crucial component. You can make your internet site quite unique by having a template specially developed. However, there is a much simpler option : select one of the many free templates for Joomla.

Granted that the degree of uniqueness will perhaps not be as great as when using a specifically created template, but there are masses of tactics that you can customize free templates for Joomla to be your really own.

Templates that may be employed in Joomla 1.5 come in 2 basic sets : site templates and director templates. It should be obvious that the site template is usually what we mean when we refer to free templates for Joomla.

The file that handles the presentation facet of the template is the CSS, or cascading style sheet, file. This file controls the small print of fonts, where margins start and finish, colors, and how lists are formatted, as well as many other things.

Should you upgrade your site design from Joomla 1.0.x to Joomla 1.5? I waited six months after the release of 1.5 before I made up my mind to give it a try. As with ANY new software, I try to avoid being an early adopter aka tester, especially if the testing involves a client’s website. I presently have eight websites using 1.5 and am extraordinarily OK with the upgrade.

My first impression of 1.5 is that it is a very nice upgrade and has some really nice new features. The install was easy and extremely smooth, and I had the new site active in twenty mins. First thing I spotted is the icons and general look have changed for the better with a sleek, modern look. However, if I understand this upgrade correctly, the majority of the enhancements are under the hood and front end users won’t see these. This review investigates the Joomla 1.5 improvements you can see from the user’s view.

One of the most blatant enhancements is the article editor. The editor has been utterly revised and is now far easier to use. For example, in version 1.0.x, the editor screen was split into an introduction Text box and a Main Content box. In version 1.5, there is just one box for entering text. If you need to add a Read More link to an article, you put your cursor where you need the introduction text to finish and click the Read More button at the bottom of the screen. This alone is worth the upgrade!

In addition, it is way easier to insert images now. Just click the Insert Image button and you get a popup screen that shows the / images / stories directory. From here you can navigate to the image you wish to use, and then click on it to insert it. What’s more, you can upload images from this screen too ( Just ensure that you have configured the proper URL when you set up Joomla or the default image uploader will not work ).

Another obvious improvement is the installer. Now, there is only one installer and you may use it to install components, Modules, or plugins.

eventually, the Search Engine Friendly URLs feature in Joomla has been greatly improved to give you urls that reflect the article title. Actually, if you enter text in the article’s Alias field, Joomla SEF URL will pick this up. Just make sure not to use spaces in the text. This feature gives you total control over the look of the article’s URL.

Overall, I think version 1.5 is a great upgrade, but there is one caviat : lots of the Joomla extensions, which are the heart of the CMS, don’t work in version 1.5.

My advice is this : If you already have a version of 1.0.x up and running on a live site and it does everything you need, stick with 1.0.x. If , however , you are installing Joomla on a new site, begin with version 1.5. If there’s a plugin that is only made for version 1.0.x, you can still run it in version 1.5 by turning on the Legacy mode. Bequest mode permits you to run components, modules, and mambots that are made for 1.0.x.

Making a domain is a role full of challenges. One must answer several questions like, how big is the page. How often will it be updated? Who will update it? What kind of content will be published? Is the team doing the update trained to work with an HTML page?

Answering these and other questions, the person in control of making the page can decide if an HTML page is practicable or if it is better to employ a Content Management System (CMS). CMS is outlined as:

The system can operate independently of the content and design. It is feasible to manage the content at any time and give a different design to the site without needing to give back to the content format, and allows easy and controlled publication on the site to several publishers. A classic example is the publisher of the content uploaded to the system and a raised level ( directory ) that allows content to be plain to the public (the approval).

I work as a graphic designer at a university in Puerto Rico. I also go along with the duties of Information Technologist and Quasi web designer. In my journeys as a webmaster, I have created databases and installed Content Management Systems ( CMS ). Thru this experience I can write about the benefits and disadvantages of CMS, and above all, help you choose which the most suitable option is.

the user as an author can, without any knowledge of HTML, create and publish information online. The author can post photographs, video and audio into his or her article with great ease. If the user has administrator privileges, they can simply create site navigation, add content, delete content and even change the look of the site. One of the largest advantages is that plenty of these programs are free.

The type content that will be printed is significant in deciding what type of CMS should be installed. For instructional content, use Moodle. It is a CMS (Course Management System ) in particular designed for tutorial materials. If it is to post news, a diary or digital items in chronological order for access throughout the world, a blog is what you need.

The biggest drawback I’ve found for CMS is to create templates. The free templates can be modified, but preferably you must have a template in particular design for you.

The CMS is not for everyone. The possibility of making a unique and different page from others is the great merit of HTML.

Do you want to change the look of your WordPress site or maybe to put something like a banner or adsense code on your blog? In order to do this you need to know about three important things: template files, functions and CSS.

- Template Files
These files are stored in a directory (wp-content/themes/template-name/). So if you are using “default theme”, you need to access the files that are stored in “wp-content/themes/default/” directory.

There are several common WordPress template files you should know:

1.header.php
This file is responsible for the appearance of the top section of your blog. If you want to change the header image, you have to access this file. Not only that, this file is also the place to add Meta Tags.

2.footer.php
Similar to the header.php, this file is loaded everytime any page or post of your blog is accessed. It is used to store the HTML tags and the code for the bottom section of your blog.

3.sidebar.php
A sidebar is a section which is usually used to display site navigation. Depending on the theme you are using, a sidebar usually provides links to archives, pages and latest posts.

4.index.php
In fact this file is the main template file. When someone visits the homepage of your blog site, this file will be loaded. Then he/she will see the contents (not the source code) of this file. If you want to make the appearance of your blog become similar to a common website, where there is a static description on the homepage, you may try to put the static content in this file.

Besides those files, a theme usually has some other template files with different purposes. For example, the archives.php is a file used to display posts you made in the past. Then the search.php is used to generate search results.

- Functions
A function is a blog of code to accomplish a specific task. In order to modify template files, you don’t need to master any programming language. Although having a little knowledge in PHP, you can work faster. In WordPress, the name of a function is usually related to its purpose. For instance, “the_title()” is a function to display the title of a post and “the_content()” is used to display its content. Another example is “blog_info()” which is responsible for displaying the name or description of your blog, depending on the given argument (additional data).

- CSS
Style Sheet is a facility to manage the format and layout of a website efficiently. Without using it, changing small things such as the font type or the background color of all of your webpages is a daunting task where you have to do it page by page. But with the existence of style sheet, one change you make can affect the whole site. You should know that in WordPress a different theme may have a different css file. You also need to know that some styles may be defined in the header.php file. If you are using the “default theme”, you have to access the header.php file in order to change the background color or the header image of your blog, not the css file.

Finally, before you customize the templates, it is highly recommended to backup any files you intend to change. If something doesn’t work properly, you can always go back to the original settings.
