And go to Site->Global Configuration. It is again divided into three tabs Site, System and Server. You need to be in Site and you will find "SEO Settings" on the right hand side. Just choose "No" for Search Engine Friendly URLs there. If you are using the earlier Joomla version : Login as admin to the back end . And go to Site -> Global Configuration.
