    A CMS will create html pages for you. The end result is the same. What matters is the content, link structure, xml sitemap, seo-friendly URLs, 301 redirects, etc. Good web content management systems will handle a lot of this for you. But you can achieve the same results with static html pages if you’re a technical user and are willing to put in more time.

    It absolutely doesn’t matter *how* the site is done. What matters is *what* is on the site.
    A CMS is just at System to Manage the Content, and will generate HTML pages for you without your having to create each one individually.
    Use a CMS because it makes site maintenance easier, but understand that the best way your SEO will work in the long-term is by having good content.
