    It really depends on what features you want. If it can be built on an existing CMS like WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla, then you’re probably looking at $10k-$15k for a basic site.
    If you need something proprietary built from the ground up (such as custom back-office software), then you’re looking at $40k+. Add on community features (like forums, custom account pages, Twitter/Facebook integration), and you can easily add another $10k onto that.
