The simple way to boost your search engine ranking position for your website business keyword is really simple.

If you haven’t done it yet, let’s do this first….

Assume that you are working for the business keyword “Bird Watching” and its related combination to sell ebooks or products from your website.

Then, follow the steps to achieve the best SERP. If possible try to take this information in to a word document and print it to keep with you while working on your website

Note, this process is same for all your website on-page optimization process. So having a print in hand can give you the proper flow to complete process.

Lets take an example here. In our example the keyword that we use it for the on-page optimization is “bird watching”

So now we’ve selected our main 4 keywords:

bird watching story

bird watching picture

bird watching guide

bird watching gear

if you check the above keywords carefully you can find the word “bird watching”. This will make the things easier for you when you begin to optimize your off page ranking factors which you will learn it.

Let’s Start Optimize Your Home Page Now

Step 1:

The first thing we need to do is select a “Page Title” for your website Homepage.

The Home Page title should look like this:

Include ONLY your main business keywords (preferably up to 4 keywords). The least amount of words you can place in the title, the more weight Google will give to each of the keywords and the higher you will rank better. Please note that the total charecters including the white spaces and any special charecters can be up to 64 – 69 in page title.

When creating your page title (here it is homepage), it should NOT look like this:

Welcome to our website! or Homepage or Index page

it should not even look like this, which does contain our main keywords, but contains an unnecessary number of words:

bird watching story and bird watching picture and bird watching guide

Even the above title is not horrible and does contain all of your main home page keywords, you should do a couple of things to cut down on combination words used.

This would be a perfect title for your Home Page:

Bird Watching Story | Guide for Bird Watching | Bird Watching Pictures

Notice that |’ve:

Taken out all of the “ands”

Replaced one of the “ands” with a “|” character

Note: This character is located on the keyboard directly above the “enter key”.

Combined the main keyword with the keywords “Bird Watching Guide” and “Bird Watching Picture” to get optimize your home page for those 3 keywords mainly.

Always combine your keyword with the combinations when possible to cut down on the total number of words that are in your title!

Always try to combine your keywords in the page title (either homepage or in your inner pages)
