I also signed up with Google AdSense to drive traffic to my website (by Go Daddy).
My question is: How long does it usually take to see results/revenue? I just joined within this past 2 weeks.
It can be anywhere from 1 day to 1 year, even more. I know of some websites who after a year of joining Linkshare can’t even get a $25 income.
Slapping affiliate banners here and there will not necessarily earn you any money. Affiliate earning depends on a lot of things:
- Fit of the program with your audience: the more the affiliate program appeals to your audience and fits with your site’s focus the more successful you will be. If you are a travel site, the affiliate program that works well are those that offers hotel bookings, ticket reservations, cruises and travel tours.
- Level of traffic: the more traffic you have, the more chances to attract visitors who will click and buy from your affiliate programs
